Happy New Year’s everyone! This year we have many things planned for our shop. We’ve made some upgrades to our pedalboards and have bought some new equipment that will help us make even more custom products.
For our pedalboards, we have upgraded to using a premium pine instead of the basic common pine we’ve been using. The premium pine is a much higher quality and density. It comes to us very straight and square and has a beautiful appearance. The pedalboard tops are made from Baltic Birch and boasts high strength, and has little no flex when stomping on pedals. Also this year we have plans to upgrade our 1/4″ jack connectors. We currently use a one-piece jack with female connections on both ends. Our plan is to transition over to using Tele-style electrosocket jacks with a mogami wire soldered on and a right angle 1/4″ connection. This will improve the tonal qualities and minimize the exterior width as the new sockets will be recessed into the frame.
We’ve also bought a couple of new tools to play with, a laser cutter/engraver and a CNC routing machine to assist us with cutting out our tops. The laser engraver will be cutting out our own custom badges as well as offer engraving for pedalboards and other products.
