Edit: Looks like all my tests came back clear and all they found was a benign cyst in my sinuses somewhere. I need to de-stress my life, simplify a bit, so I will be making some changes to my shop and products. I know I’ve talked about building more stock pedalboards vs custom orders before, but looks like now is the time to implement it.
I wanted to give y’all a quick update on the shop. It’s actually about my health which impacts the shop. On 3/17/2024 we had quite a scare. I had to go to the ER because we thought I was having a mini stroke. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had health wise. Literally thought I might not make it. It came at the tail end of some drama at home. Fortunately my CT scans and EKG came back fine. They think it was a panic attack but I’m still not convinced. I’ve lived with chronic depression and anxiety most of my life and this did not feel like that. I have an MRI test next week to find it more info. It’s left me with a permanent dull headache and I don’t seem to have the energy I used to have. I’ll still working on completing existing orders but not as fast and I’m about a week behind. If you have a current order with me I give you my word it will be completed. All of my shops are currently on “vacation mode”. I don’t plan to stop building as it’s a main source of income for me since I got laid off in January from my day job, on my birthday 🤬. As you can imagine, an event like that can make you think your life. And at only 54 years old I’m not even close to being ready to check out yet. I’m not sure what changes I will make yet but I just wanted to give anyone who’s listening an update. Thanks for your support and I’ll keep y’all posted!
